The routine

The first wash barely lathers. That isn’t the product failing, that’s it working. Skip a step and you make it harder than it needs to be.

Why you shampoo twice

The first shampoo binds to the buildup sitting in the hair, the sweat, oil, pollen and yeast of the day, and lifts it out. That’s why it barely lathers. The second shampoo lathers a little and puts moisture and protein back in, finishing the clean properly. Less lather is the better clean. Big suds are cosmetic. They look busy, but they dry hair out, and more bubbles never meant cleaner hair.
